Match Description:	40 over match Thame 136 ao off 39.1 Hetairoi 140-9 off 39.1 A tale of two batting collapses. Having won the toss and elected to bat, Thame lost wickets in 5 consecutive overs from 87-1 to ultimately limp to an unimposing 136 ao. Notable bowling performances from Vidur & Varun who picked up 4 wickets apiece. Also a great reflex catch from Mike Penington to remove a player who was looking dangerous and starting to increase the run rate. With no real scoreboard pressure, the Hetairoi reply started steadily with Mike and John putting on 39 for the first wicket whereupon Hari joined John and progress continued serenely until John fell c&b for 37 with the score on 92. Thereafter a collapse ensued that was extraordinary even by the standards of Hetairoi, with the next 7 batters amassing 9 runs between them, including 5 ducks! Stephen was even required to re-don his whites to survive the last ball of the 39th over after Richard fell lbw. Luckily throughout the carnage Hari remained and secured the win with a boundary off the first ball of the 40th over. All in all a game that ended up being far more exciting than it should have been.
