Summer continues
| | It was a perfect English summer day for the Ripley game on Sunday. This year they were a bit too strong for us and the 40 over format meant that the match petered out in the last few overs. They play the game in friendly spirit which made it an enjoyable day. I'll be putting the statistics in this evening. Sadly the game on Saturday was called off as St. John's were unable to raise a side having had three successive days of cricket Wednesday to Friday and suffering injuries. There's just one game next weekend against Salix at the Imperial College ground which is easily accessible from London and Oxford. The game last year promised to be an exciting one but was unfortunately rained off towards the end. John Ball is the match manager and there are some places still available. |
